I recently came across a post by Lysa Terkurst on Facebook that so struck me.
How true is that?
When we are struggling most of us tend to turn inward and away from those
around us who can help us through those struggles- especially God-
that's exactly what Satan wants.
Satan wants us alone and vulnerable so that he can whisper his lies
in our ears and heads and hearts over and over and over again-
until we begin to believe them.
The more we pull away from others and from the Lord when
we are struggling, the louder those stinky lies seem to become.
James 4:8 says…
Come near to God and He will come near to you.
